Road Closures Announced: Travel Only with Winter Tires

The Emergency Service has reported that there are closed roads within the territory of Armenia. The roads are closed in the Aragatsotn region from the 'Amberd' high mountain meteorological station to the Amberd fortress and the road leading to Kari Lake, as well as the Ghandzakar-Itsakar roads.

Roads including Noravan-Ltzen-Tatev and Ttujur-Navur, as well as the Vardenyats Pass, are closed solely to vehicles with trailers. There is black ice in certain areas of the roads in the regions of Aparan, Aragats, Spitak, Tumanyan, Tashir, Sevan, Jambarak, Martuni, Gavar, Abovyan, Hrazdan, Nairi, Vayk, Sisian, Goris, Ashotzk, Amasia, and Vanadzor.

Drivers are urged to travel exclusively with winter tires.

Regarding Lars, according to the information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia's Emergency Situations Department and the Crisis Management Center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open to all types of vehicles.
