Road Closures in Armenia
The Emergency Situations Service reports that as of 14:36, there are closed roads in the territory of Armenia.
The roads leading from the "Amberd" high-altitude meteorological station to the Amberd Fortress and the Kʼari Lake are closed in the Aragatsotn province. The Berd-Chambarak road is closed to all types of vehicles due to blizzard conditions.
The roads from Noravank to Ltsen-Tatev, Shinuheyr-Tatev-Kapan, and the Vardenyats Mountain Pass are closed for trucks with trailers. In the Vardenyats Mountain Pass, in the Kotayk province, snow is falling in the Saravan-"Janger" section and in the Jermuk region. There is also a blizzard in the area known as "Meghru Mountain."
There are also areas with black ice on the roads of Kotayk, Aragatsotn, and Syunik provinces, as well as in the regions of Artik, Ani, Gavar, and the Tigranashen serpentine road.
The Emergency Situations Service urges drivers to travel exclusively with winter tires.
According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia's Emergency Management Department and the North Ossetia Crisis Management Center of the Russian Federation, the Stepantsminda-Larsi road is open for all types of vehicles.
