Black Ice on Abovyan-Charentsavan Highway

As of December 28th at 23:10, the Vanadzor-Alaverdi-Noyemberyan road from the Jermuk intersection to the area known as 'Zanger', as well as the Noravan-Ltzen-Tatev and Shinhuhair-Tatev-Kapan highways, are closed to vehicle trailers. This information is reported by the Road Department Foundation.

The Tigranashen curves and the Vanadzor-Dilijan highway are also difficult for vehicles with trailers to navigate. There are reports of black ice in certain areas of the Abovyan-Charentsavan highway. Other intercity and republican roads remain open.

Road construction crews are currently conducting snow clearing and treatment with salt and sand on the highways. We urge drivers to remain attentive, strictly observe traffic rules, and travel exclusively on winter tires.
