Black Ice on Roadways

As of December 29 at 9:00 AM, the Vanadzor-Alaverdi-Novemberyan road, from the Jermuk junction to the section known as 'Zanger', the Noravan-Ltsen-Tatev, Shinhuyr-Tatev-Kapan roads, and the Vardenyats Pass are closed for vehicles with trailers. This is reported by the Road Department.

There are patches of black ice on the roadways of the Ararat, Gavar, Kapan, Artik, Aragats, Hrazdan, and Ani regions. There is a snowstorm in the Meghri Pass. Other interstate and national highways remain open.

Road construction teams are engaged in cleaning and treating the roadways with salt and sand. Drivers are urged to be cautious, strictly adhere to traffic rules, and travel exclusively with winter tires.
