Trump Plays His Own Game Discussing Ukraine Resolution Issues: Pushkov
U.S. President Donald Trump continues to play his own game regarding discussions on the Ukraine resolution, and the opinions of Europeans are not significant to him, according to Senator Alexei Pushkov.
Previously, the U.S. president told Politico that any proposal for a resolution regarding Ukraine from Volodymyr Zelensky is pointless without his approval.
“Trump has clarified the division of roles. It can be assumed that his meeting with Zelensky will proceed this way: Trump will assess what he has and align it with his plans. The fact that Zelensky has coordinated all his points with the Europeans doesn’t matter to Trump. Trump continues to play his own game,” Pushkov wrote on his Telegram channel.
The senator also noted that Trump's stance regarding Zelensky's plans shows who, in the U.S. president's view, controls the fate of the resolution—it is Zelensky himself.
Earlier, the White House had announced that President Donald Trump would meet with Zelensky today in Florida.
