Netanyahu May Request US Approval for Another Military Operation in Gaza: CNN

During his visit to the United States, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu may request approval from President Donald Trump for another military operation in the Gaza Strip, CNN reports, citing Israeli sources.

"Israeli sources suggest that Netanyahu may seek permission for another military operation within Gaza before agreeing to advance a ceasefire regime. This would be the last demonstration of force to satisfy his partners before making further concessions," the network reported.

Sources noted that the Israeli Prime Minister's approach likely includes the development of a comprehensive conditions package. Progress in Gaza will be linked, among other things, to security guarantees against Iran and Lebanon.
