Investigation into the Legality of Viktor Soghomonyan's Father's Property Initiated

The Office of the Prosecutor General of Armenia has begun an investigation into the legality of the property belonging to former MP Ernest Soghomonyan. It is noteworthy that he is the father of Viktor Soghomonyan, who was a spokesperson for former President Robert Kocharian.

In the course of the proceedings, both Ernest Soghomonyan and Viktor Soghomonyan, along with four other family members, have been summoned to the Prosecutor's Office. According to a notice published on the 'Azdarar' website regarding the 'Proceedings for the Seizure of Property of Illegal Origin,' an investigation numbered 22-15-23 related to the property belonging to Ernest Mkhayeli Soghomonyan commenced on January 27, 2023, at the Office for Seizure of Property of Illegal Origin of the Prosecutor General's Office.

As per Article 13 of the law on the 'Seizure of Property of Illegal Origin,' by December 22, 2025, the relevant authority will prepare a summary of the investigation results based on preliminary findings. In accordance with Articles 16 and 17 of the same law, you are notified that you have the right to appear at the Office for Seizure of Property of Illegal Origin within one month from the receipt of this notice to familiarize yourself with the case materials, present your position, as well as a declaration.
