My Poem Has Become a Song: Nikol Pashinyan

“Real Armenia – Republic of Armenia” is the title of my poem that has become a song, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan wrote on his social media pages.

We want to see you happy,
But we must see you for that:
Our gazes, far from you,
Have been searching for homelands endlessly.

We want to see you happy,
But we must see you are Armenia,
We want to see you happy,
With you, in you, inseparable from you.

We are obliged to make you happy,
Your smile, shedding your tears,
From the house of mourning
With our wet eyes of life.

And your living must be eternal,
The source of our love, the bastion of our hope.
Happiness is your final home,
Our old homeland, our beloved state.

You are everything that we are,
Our desires will not leave you again,
We didn't lose you, but found you again,
Our beloved state, our old homeland.
