EU Fears Negative Consequences from Trump-Zelensky Meeting: CNN
European officials are hoping that the meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will be positive. However, they acknowledge that the outcome of any meeting with Trump is unpredictable, reports CNN citing sources.
"There is no low-risk scenario with Trump," said a NATO official. CNN's sources clarified that European politicians will not participate in the negotiations between the U.S. and Ukrainian presidents. American officials expressed hope that the meeting will be productive.
Previously, it was reported that President Trump told Politico in an interview that on December 28, during the negotiations with Zelensky, there is a "great opportunity" to reach a peace agreement. This meeting will take place in Palm Beach, Florida.
