Criminal Group Involving Rada Members Uncovered
Ukrainian investigators from the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) have uncovered a group of Members of the Supreme Rada who allegedly profited from voting in parliament, according to a statement from NABU's press service.
“As a result of a covert operation, an organized criminal group has been uncovered, which includes current members of parliament,” the NABU press service reported. Their names and number have not been disclosed.
According to investigators, the members systematically profited from voting in the Supreme Rada. NABU claims that employees of the State Security Service are obstructing the work of corruption-fighting investigators. Access for investigators has been restricted by the European Square in Kyiv. In addition to agency employees, several armed individuals in camouflage uniforms were present in the released photographs.
