Colombia Seeks Alternative Routes to Supply Goods to Russia
Colombia is searching for alternative routes to deliver goods to Russia, stated the country's ambassador, Jorge Ignacio Soro Sanchez, in an interview with RIA Novosti.
“We are undoubtedly looking for alternative ways to ship goods from Colombia. Some routes are more profitable, while others are more complex, but we are finding solutions. We have managed to establish logistics with some companies through Europe, which, admittedly, due to restrictions, incurs additional expenses—both financial and time-consuming. Nevertheless, we have been able to maintain those routes,” he said.
The existing alternatives may include Turkey or the UAE, the ambassador mentioned. “Again, everything depends on the type of goods we are exporting. We are constantly trying to find new routes and inform Colombian companies about them, so they can develop trade cooperation with Russia,” he emphasized.
