Afghanistan Begins Thorough Investigation into Border Incidents with Tajikistan
Afghanistan has initiated a thorough investigation into border incidents with Tajikistan, announced Afghanistan's Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi today.
Previously, the press center of Tajikistan's National Security Committee (NSC) reported that there have been three cross-border terrorist attacks originating from Afghanistan over the past month, the latest of which occurred on Wednesday.
According to Afghan media, Muttaqi stated that he has already held discussions with the Tajik Foreign Minister, and both sides will work together to prevent the recurrence of such incidents.
“We are concerned that certain malicious circles may attempt to disrupt relations between neighboring states and create an impression of instability,” the Afghan Foreign Minister stated.
