Bayramov States Conditions for Azerbaijan to Sign Peace Agreement with Armenia

The signing of the pre-agreed peace agreement is possible only if Armenia makes changes to its constitution and fully fulfills its obligations undertaken under the TRIPP project. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, presenting the 2025 report, according to Report.

He noted that meetings of representatives of civil society from both countries had been held within the framework of confidence-building measures. “In November, a meeting took place in Gabala between the Azerbaijani and Armenian sides regarding the delimitation of borders. Previously, such meetings had been conducted online in January and February. Permission has also been granted for the transit of Kazakh grain to Armenia through Azerbaijan's territory. However, in order for a final peace agreement to be signed, the conditions we have specified must be met,” the minister emphasized.

Bayramov added that the regulation of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia this year has become an important step towards establishing lasting peace in the region. He noted that the Washington summit has made a significant contribution to this process.
