Zaharova's Response to the Investigation of the Azerbaijani AZAL Plane Crash

The Russian Federation has responded to all inquiries submitted by Kazakhstan regarding the crash of the Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) aircraft. This was announced during a press briefing by Maria Zakarova, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to her, Russia expects that the relevant commission in Kazakhstan will complete the investigation into the incident in the near future, and all questions arising from the disaster will be addressed through joint efforts. Zakarova emphasized that there should be no doubts remaining in this process.

The diplomat noted that Russian aviation bodies have fully cooperated with the investigation and have promptly responded to all official inquiries sent by Kazakhstan.

It should be recalled that the crash of the aircraft belonging to the Azerbaijani AZAL airline occurred in December 2024. The circumstances of the incident are being investigated by a special commission formed by Kazakhstan.
