The Time Has Come: Pashinyan on Armenian-Turkish Relations
Our problem is that we have always dealt with small projects: we are not accustomed to large projects, which have their own peculiarities. They always have unresolved questions and always create new ones. This was stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a press briefing, responding to a question regarding the TRIPP project, which had not been coordinated with the Iranian side.
“When you have an issue on the table that hasn’t been resolved, it remains unresolved. When you solve that issue, four new questions arise that need to be addressed. Every time you resolve four questions, new four questions emerge that must be tackled. Therefore, the TRIPP project is such a large-scale issue that every time we clarify one question, new ones will arise that we need to think about,” he noted.
Pashinyan added that he welcomes Turkey's willingness, and that a moment has matured in their dialogue for either symbolic or non-symbolic, broader actions to take place. He also stated that relations with Iran are at a very high level, and there is a desire to sign a strategic partnership document with Iran.
