Russia Has Apparently Rejected My Request, Says Pope Francis

One of the truly disappointing things for me these days is that Russia has apparently rejected my request for a Christmas ceasefire, stated Pope Francis.

“I again appeal to all men and women of goodwill to mark the day of peace, at least for the celebration of the Savior's Birth. May our appeal be heard, and may there be 24 hours of peace throughout the world,” said Pope Francis.

It is worth noting that Pope Francis has called on Russia and Ukraine to agree on a ceasefire on the eve of Christmas.
