Thai Air Force Strikes Again on Cambodia
Thai F-16 fighter jets have once again crossed into Cambodia, launching attacks approximately 60 kilometers from the border, according to Khmer Times, citing the Cambodian Ministry of Defense.
The assault reportedly began this morning. The ministry stated, “Thailand dropped six bombs in the Banan area of Battambang province, located in northwest Cambodia.”
According to the Ministry of Defense, local residents have been forced to flee the affected areas to avoid the Thai airstrikes.
On December 8, Thailand accused Cambodia of attacking civilian areas in Buriram province. Shortly before this, both Thailand and Cambodia had exchanged fire in the border zone. This incident took place following an attack on Thailand’s Anupong military base, which had harmed the military forces of both kingdoms. In response, Thailand deployed F-16 fighters that targeted Cambodian artillery in the Chong An Ma area.
