Large Sum Embezzlement at the Ministry of Justice: Case in Court

A large sum embezzlement has occurred at the Ministry of Justice. The website "Ishkhanutyun" reported that charges have been brought against Ani Ghazaryan, a senior specialist in the State Register of Legal Entities, and Vahagn Azizyan.

AuroraNews.am reached out to the Ministry of Justice for clarification. In response to AuroraNews.am's verbal inquiry, they informed us that Ani Seyran Ghazaryan has not been an employee of the State Register of Legal Entities of the Minister of Justice since 2023.

Regarding the question of bringing charges against her and others, they stated, "For information on this matter, please contact the competent authorities handling the proceedings. The Ministry of Justice does not have an employee by the name of Vahagn Azizyan."

The Investigative Committee informed AuroraNews.am that the case is currently in court. AuroraNews.am learned from the Dataplex system that the case is being handled in the Anti-Corruption Court and was registered for proceedings on December 17, 2025.

According to the case materials, Ani Seyran Ghazaryan has been charged with embezzling a total sum of 1,270,000 AMD, which was subject to state duty payment, as a result of fraud, having used her official powers in conjunction with Vahagn Ashot Azizyan, who has also been charged for the same crime under the same circumstances.
