From January 1, Signing, Termination, and Modification of Employment Contracts Will Be Conducted Through a Digital System
Starting January 1, 2026, the signing, termination, and modification of employment contracts will be conducted exclusively through a digital system. This information was provided by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia.
During today’s government meeting, the procedure for entering employment contracts signed and ongoing before January 1, 2026, as well as individual legal acts on employment accepted and effective before July 1, 2025, into the digital system was established. The requirements for the employment contract that need to be entered into the system have been outlined.
Accordingly, the system will perform self-verification by comparing the information in the employee registration application with the details entered in the employment contract. In case of discrepancies, the employer will be required to make corrections, with exceptions for a few instances that cannot be modified retroactively. Ongoing employment contracts will be entered into the digital system with electronic signatures within one year.
