New Company for Construction of Atomic Power Block Established in Armenia

According to the decision No.1198-N of the Government of the Republic of Armenia dated August 1, 2024, concerning the management of the program for the construction of a new atomic power block (blocks) in the Republic of Armenia, a closed joint-stock company named "Atomic New Energy Block Construction" will be established.

This information was reported by the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure. In order to form the executive body of the company, the recruitment of a relevant specialist for the position of Acting General Director of the Company is announced until the appointment of a new General Director through a competition.

In the initial phase, it is planned to form the executive body of the company, ensure the state registration of the company in accordance with the procedure established by the Law of the Republic of Armenia on the state registration of legal entities, separate divisions of legal entities, and the state registration of institutions and individual entrepreneurs, as well as the implementation of the functions defined by the Charter of the Company.

The functions of the company will be aimed at staffing with relevant specialists related to the construction of the new nuclear power block in Armenia and developing their capacities to present a professional opinion to the Government of the Republic of Armenia regarding the selection of technology for the construction of the new nuclear power block.
