Most Non-Payers are Foreigners: Armen Galjyan

The head of the Yerevan City Council's faction of the Civil Contract party, Armen Galjyan, has urged the opposition not to make unnecessary statements regarding the voting of council members. "Because it is each person's free right to vote as they wish," he stated.

Galjyan also addressed the increase in new positions for the public order maintenance service. He noted, "The overwhelming majority of the public demands that we ensure the proper execution of payments, because around 80% of users are conscientious and justly dissatisfied with the 20% who do not pay. As a municipal authority, we are obliged to heed the public's demands. Moreover, the majority of non-payers are foreigners, and I believe it is even more unfair when our citizens pay, while foreigners do not, taking advantage of various loopholes," he said.
