Putin Makes a Series of Statements

The member states of the CIS support the formation of a new multipolar world order, in which the UN will play a key coordinating role. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

According to the Russian president, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) has already established itself as an authoritative and influential international organization. He noted that cooperation between CIS countries has successfully developed across various strategic directions by 2025.

Putin emphasized that collaboration in the monetary and financial sector is expanding, and the share of national currencies in trade transactions between CIS countries has already exceeded 96 percent. He stated that several large projects are being implemented with the participation of entrepreneurs from CIS countries, and new production and transportation chains are being formed.

The president also mentioned that CIS countries are consistently strengthening their technological sovereignty and collaborating to preserve a unified cultural and humanitarian space. Special attention has been paid to the joint fight against the falsification of history, including the topic of the Great Patriotic War.

In Putin's assessment, the approaches of the countries of friendship are common regarding key regional and global issues, while deepening cooperation within the CIS framework corresponds to the fundamental interests of the member states. He also pointed out that rapid rates of import substitution are being recorded in the CIS territory.
