Marco Ruüten on the Readiness to Send Troops to Ukraine
NATO Secretary General Marco Ruüten has announced Europe's readiness to send troops to Ukraine in the event of a "breach of the peace agreement by Russia." He made this statement in an interview with Bild.
“Of course, we are not discussing details publicly at this moment. However, I can say that several European countries have expressed their readiness to provide troops if necessary,” Ruüten stated.
He added that efforts are currently underway to clarify the exact structure of a "volunteers coalition."
The Russian Foreign Ministry has repeatedly stated that any scenario involving the deployment of NATO troops in Ukraine is absolutely unacceptable for Moscow and could lead to a sharp escalation.
Russia has repeatedly indicated that the Ukrainian armed forces may use the ceasefire to strengthen their positions.
