Macron's Staff Member Steals Cultural Treasures Worth Tens of Thousands of Euros
A scandalous theft has been uncovered at the residence of French President Emmanuel Macron, the Élysée Palace. According to the French newspaper Le Figaro, a palace employee secretly removed Sevres porcelain tableware for nearly two years.
Reportedly, the table manager Thomas M., who was responsible for setting tables and accounting for dishes, has stolen about a hundred items valued at tens of thousands of euros. Among the stolen items were glasses, plates, and other tableware classified as part of France's cultural heritage.
It has been noted that the employee forged inventory documents to conceal the losses. The stolen items were handed over to porcelain collector Gisèle M., who also worked as a supervisor in one of the Louvre museum galleries.
