Explosion in Car: Assassination Attempt on Russian General

A major explosion occurred in Moscow, seriously injuring Major General Fanil Sarvarov of the Russian Armed Forces. This was reported by the 'EJ' Telegram channel.

According to the channel, an assassination attempt was made against General Sarvarov in Moscow. The explosion took place in the courtyard of a residential building on Yasenevaya Street, as he was getting into his car. The vehicle was severely damaged, and Sarvarov was extracted from it. He sustained multiple shrapnel wounds and fractures and was hospitalized in critical condition.

Preliminary information suggests that a homemade explosive device was placed under the driver's seat. The explosion occurred just seconds after the vehicle began to move.

The blast also damaged seven other cars. Law enforcement officials are investigating the circumstances of the incident. The Russian Investigative Committee has launched a criminal case and is conducting an investigation into the matter.
