Wake Up, Otherwise You Will Be Deprived of Even Your Holidays: Zakharova

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, has addressed Europe, criticizing Kyiv's policy of supporting Ukraine and rejecting Russian energy supplies.

“Wake up and stop self-harming; otherwise, due to the insane support for Kyiv and the rejection of Russian energy resources, you will even be deprived of your holidays,” said Maria Zakharova, addressing Europe.

Zakharova commented on reports that the decision made by Brussels and several European capitals to abandon energy supplies from Russia and implement savings measures, as well as the cancellation of holiday events and traditional illumination, has put Berlin's New Year's celebrations at risk. These celebrations are set to take place at the Brandenburg Gate with live music and fireworks, attracting people from all over Europe.

“It has also been reported that for the first time in decades, Berlin's legislators have completely canceled the Christmas lighting on one of Berlin's largest streets, Kurfürstendamm, due to cost-related concerns,” added Maria Zakharova.
