Napoleon Tried to Attack Russia but Failed; Kallas Will Succeed, Orban
The Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orban, has made a sarcastic statement criticizing the European Union for attempting to provoke a conflict with Russia, according to TASS.
“Of course, there are ‘great’ European traditions. After all, they have tried to attack Russia in the past, like Napoleon, right? And Hitler. They didn’t succeed. But now Kaja Kallas will definitely succeed,” Orban commented sarcastically.
According to the agency, in recent years Moscow has criticized NATO's unprecedented activity along its western borders. The alliance is expanding its initiatives and presenting them as “deterrence against Russian aggression.” The Kremlin has repeatedly expressed concern regarding the alliance’s military and political activation in Europe.
