Iran Seeks Closer Ties with Europe, Says Foreign Minister

During a meeting in Belgium with Iran's new ambassador, Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi reaffirmed Iran's commitment to expanding relations with European countries based on mutual respect and shared interests. This was reported by Tasnim News.

The minister emphasized the necessity of maintaining and strengthening bilateral relations between Iran and Belgium, as well as the expansion of contacts and consultations in various fields. Araqchi also highlighted the importance of utilizing Belgium's potentials at the European Union level.

In turn, Iran's new ambassador in Belgium presented a report on the current state of relations between the two countries, as well as recent developments related to the European Union.
