US Suspends DV1 Program Immediately: No American Will Suffer

The U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem, has announced that President Donald Trump has instructed the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to immediately suspend the DV1 program. According to her, the aim is to prevent situations where Americans could be put in danger as a result of such programs.

“I am instructing USCIS to suspend the DV1 program immediately, so that no American suffers from this harmful program,” Noem wrote.

Previously, it was reported that the alleged organizer of an incident at Brown University, Claudio Manuel Neves Valente, entered the U.S. through the green card lottery program back in 2017.
