This Issue Is Still Unresolved - Zelensky
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that among the unresolved issues in the framework of negotiations with the United States regarding a draft agreement to end the Russo-Ukrainian war are the questions of control over the territories of Donbas, the management and operation of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant located in Energodar, and the issue of funding, particularly through a compensation loan mechanism.
“Regarding the sensitive issues we have discussed with the United States, yes, Donbas is a question that remains unresolved; our approaches differ. The nuclear power plant, which is occupied by the Russian Federation, is not operational, it has been damaged, but it needs to function, to produce electricity. It is our plant, our rights, and this issue is still unresolved. The financial aspect also remains open,” Zelensky said at a press conference held in Brussels.
