Serzh Sargsyan: We Clearly See the Open Support of European Institutions for Today’s Leaders
Serzh Sargsyan, the third president of Armenia, stated during a press conference that regardless of whether Kaja Kallas announced it or not, we clearly see the open support of European institutions for today’s leaders.
“I do not believe that events occurring in one country can happen in exactly the same way in another country. I do not know in detail what happened in Moldova, so I can’t say whether the Moldovan scenario will be repeated here or not,” Sargsyan responded to a question about the possibility of a similar scenario occurring in Armenia, against the backdrop of support from the EU.
It is noteworthy that the head of EU diplomacy, Kaja Kallas, had stated that Armenia has requested assistance from the EU ahead of the parliamentary elections scheduled for June 2026. “There are elections in Armenia next year, and we need to see what we can do to help them. The Armenians have approached us, asking for the same support against foreign interference that we provided to Moldova,” said Kallas.
