Peskov Provides Details on the Current State of Russia-US Relations

Relations between Russia and the United States are indeed 'in ruins'. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian president, in an interview with the newspaper 'Izvestia'.

'We hope that by progressing on the issue of Ukrainian resolution, we (Russia and the United States) will be able to start restoring our bilateral relations, which are indeed in ruins,' noted the Kremlin spokesman.

On December 5, the United States updated its National Security Strategy. It highlights that Washington considers the restoration of strategic stability in relations with Moscow as one of its foreign policy priorities.
