Who Are Those Who Argued With 'Don Pippo' and What Did They Demand? Details
Yesterday, an incident occurred in one of the restaurants in Moscow, centered around businessman Arthur Asatryan, known as 'Don Pippo'. The details of the event were provided to ArmLur.am by Asatryan's friend, former Arabkir district head Hovhannes Shahinyan.
According to him, there were no gunshots. Arthur Asatryan was at the restaurant with guests when two young men approached him, expressing a desire to speak with him. Asatryan stated that he was busy and suggested meeting later, providing his phone number. However, one of the young men, who Shahinyan claimed was Armenian, insisted on speaking at that moment. This led to an argument that escalated into a brief physical altercation.
The restaurant's security staff intervened, removing the two aggressive individuals who then left the premises. The incident ended there.
When questioned about the motive behind the assault, Hovhannes Shahinyan indicated that they perceive it as a provocation. He noted that the incident might relate to Arthur Asatryan's public stance on defending the Armenian Apostolic Church.
Shahinyan assessed that such actions aim to create the impression that those advocating for the church's protection are prone to violence or criminal behavior, as well as to isolate the leading figures of that movement. He emphasized that they view the incident as a targeted show aimed at discrediting the defenders of the church.
