Trump Praises Witkoff's Negotiation Skills

U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that special envoy Steve Witkoff, despite having known little about Russia in the past, possesses the necessary qualities for negotiating the resolution of the Ukrainian conflict. He made this remark during an event at the White House.

According to Trump, during the 20 years he spent working in New York, he interacted with various people, and when he first met Witkoff, he immediately noticed his exceptional abilities. The President recalled that the future special envoy was involved in the New York real estate business and "knew nothing about Russia's rivers and borders."

At the same time, Trump emphasized Witkoff's character and negotiation approach, stating that he has the "best character." The leader of the White House added that he also has other experienced negotiators, but with them, he claimed, "you have to start World War III before reaching any deal."
