Russian businessmen are worried about the future of their projects in Armenia due to the detention of Samvel Karapetyan. This was stated by a spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry.

“The criminal prosecution of the head of the Tashir group is a worrying sign for other Russian businessmen. Karapetyan's arrest causes entrepreneurs to question the stability of the investment environment in Armenia. This is likely to have a negative impact on the growth rate of bilateral trade,” Mikhail Kalugin told RIA Novosti.
