Putin Makes Several Statements
Russian President Vladimir Putin made several statements at a meeting of the Ministry of Defense's board, addressing the ongoing special military operation in Ukraine, the capabilities of the Russian armed forces, and international security.
According to Putin, the Russian armed forces can increase the pace of offensive operations, including in strategically significant directions. He noted that the Russian military is effectively "wearing down" Ukrainian armed forces units, including elite formations that have been trained in Western countries.
The Russian president emphasized that the "Burevestnik" and "Posiedon" systems will ensure strategic balance and Russia's security in the long term. He stated that this year, the Russian naval fleet has been replenished with new submarines, as well as 19 surface ships and boats.
Putin mentioned that the entire potential of NATO member countries stands behind the authorities in Kyiv, which continuously support Ukraine. In this context, he assessed that the Russian armed forces exhibit high combat readiness and preparedness, with their capabilities continuously expanding.
The president also announced that the "Oreshnik" complex would be placed on combat duty by the end of the year.
