Zelensky: Putin Is Publicly Lying

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin's claims regarding the complete occupation of the city of Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region do not correspond to reality. According to him, the situation in the city is different.

Zelensky mentioned that he personally visited Kupiansk to demonstrate to the international community that Russian forces do not control the city. He indicated that such statements are public misinformation and do not reflect the reality on the battlefield, accusing Putin of publicly lying.

Earlier, the Ukrainian armed forces reported that a group of Russian soldiers had been trapped in Kupiansk. According to Ukrainian sources, around 200 Russian servicemen found themselves encircled, with their ground supply routes cut off. Additionally, Ukrainian defense forces have established control over the northwestern part of the city of Kupiansk. The Ukrainian side has continued to emphasize that military operations in the city persist, and the situation remains under their control.
