Snow, Blizzards, Fog: Situation on Armenian Roads

Due to the reconstruction works on the Koreki road and considering the risk of rockfalls, the road has been temporarily closed to traffic since August 19. This information has been reported by the Emergency Situations Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The Vardenyats Pass is impassable for trucks with trailers due to blizzards and fog. In the Gorayk-Tsghuk road section, particularly in the area known as 'Meghri Mountain', snow has been recorded in the regions of Ashotzk, Artik, Aragats, Spitak, and Martuni.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.

Regarding Lars: According to information received from the Emergency Management Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars highway is open for all types of vehicles.
