Russia Ready to Discuss TRIPP Parameters and Possible Participation with Armenia
The Russian Federation has expressed its willingness to hold consultations with Armenia regarding the parameters of the TRIPP initiative and possible Russian participation in the program. This was stated to RIA Novosti by Mikhail Kalugin, the director of the fourth department for CIS countries at the Russian Foreign Ministry.
According to him, the details of the initiative still need to be studied. “The specifics of the Armenian-American project are still in the examination phase. We are ready to consult with our Armenian partners to discuss both the parameters of the initiative and Russia's possible participation,” Kalugin noted.
The Russian diplomat's statement indicates that Moscow is open to dialogue with Yerevan in order to clarify possible formats of cooperation within the framework of regional and multilateral initiatives.
