Paris Demands Security Guarantees Before Negotiating Concessions

A source close to French President Emmanuel Macron has stated that before any discussions on territorial concessions due to Moscow's demands begin, Ukraine must receive "solid security guarantees." This was reported by AFP.

This position was voiced after meetings held in Berlin on Monday. "We primarily want to obtain solid security guarantees before engaging in any discussions regarding territories. Some progress has been made on territorial issues, based on the work done by the 'Coalition of Willing' and the clarification of conditions for American support," the source noted.

It is worth recalling that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky previously announced that the United States had offered security guarantees to Kyiv similar to Article 5 of the NATO treaty. This information has also been confirmed by several American officials on the condition of anonymity.
