Lavrov Considers the European Union a Major Global Threat

The Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has stated that against the backdrop of ongoing processes in various regions of the world, the primary threat is the actions of the European Union, more specifically, the political elite that he describes as having seized power in Brussels. He made this remark in an interview with Iran's state television and radio broadcasting corporation.

According to Lavrov, this elite aims to subjugate national governments and impose its own political agenda. "Europe has repeatedly become the source of all evils, the birthplace of deep crises," emphasized the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

In his assessment, Europe is once again attempting to impose its conditions and desires on everyone, which, according to Lavrov, is directly linked to the developments surrounding the Ukrainian crisis.
