We Want to See the Further Prosperity of Armenia - Indian Foreign Ministry

The relations between Armenia and India are characterized by centuries-old friendship and have recently reached a new strategic level. Regional developments, connectivity projects, and deep historical ties form the basis for the further development of cooperation between the two countries.

This was stated by Randhir Jaiswal, spokesperson for India's Ministry of External Affairs, as reported by NEWS.am.

Randhir Jaiswal emphasized that when it comes to Armenia, they view these relations from a historical perspective. “We are united by interactions over centuries and millennia. I would like to recall a story when after independence, during the first visit, your leader kissed the ground as soon as he stepped off the plane (referring to the visit of Armenia's first president Levon Ter-Petrosyan in December 1995). This land is so unique for us. So, I can say that we share the same feeling,” noted the official.

“We have strong bilateral connections. We have political ties. We now have very robust defense relations. And we want to see the further prosperity of your country,” stated Randhir Jaiswal.
