Negotiations Around Ukraine Are in a Critical Phase: Stub

Finnish President Alexander Stub believes that the ongoing peaceful negotiations around Ukraine are at a critical phase, but a peace agreement is closer now than it has been at any time over the past four years.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine. According to the Finnish president, currently, the United States, Ukraine, and Europe are working on three documents. The first is a framework document of a peace plan consisting of 20 points, the second is Ukraine’s security guarantees, and the third is the country’s recovery.

Stub also noted that Russia is the primary issue for European and Western security.

It was previously reported that Alexander Stub declined to travel to both the U.S. and Berlin to participate in negotiations regarding Ukraine.

In an earlier interview with Finnish media, Stub warned that a peace agreement for Ukraine could be a compromise and unjust. He openly admitted to being disappointed when he saw the preliminary version of the peace plan.
