Kallas Discusses Real Security Guarantees for Ukraine

The European Union needs to consider real security guarantees for Ukraine instead of its NATO membership, "if it is no longer under discussion," stated EU Foreign Affairs Chief Kaia Kallas prior to a meeting of EU foreign ministers in Brussels.

"If this is no longer open for discussion and is not being talked about, then we need to consider what security guarantees are tangible. They cannot be, you know, pieces of paper or promises. They need to be, you know, real troops, real capabilities, so that Ukraine can defend itself," she noted.
