Prime Minister has Personally Said He is Ready to Meet the Patriarch Today: Archbishop Vazgen

Our actions are for the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and for the Armenian Catholicoship. This was stated today by His Eminence Archbishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan, the leader of the Armenian Diocese of the Baltic Countries, during a conversation with journalists in the yard of the Argeshat Church.

Archbishop Vazgen mentioned that he has tried numerous times to initiate a dialogue, but according to him, the church was not prepared for it. He added, "The Prime Minister has personally said that he is ready to meet the Supreme Patriarch today, to talk and discuss numerous issues related to his calling for rest and the Mother See, because the matter will not be resolved merely by the departure of the Catholicos; there are numerous problems that can only be addressed by the Prime Minister and the Patriarch." He stated that he is unaware if the Catholicos has accepted Pashinyan's offer.
