“What is phishing? Phishing is a type of deception where fraudsters attempt to make you open a link, download a file, or provide passwords and personal information through fake emails, messages, or websites.

Several concerning facts:

• 90% of cyberattacks are phishing
• 3.4 billion phishing emails are sent every day
• 90% of compromised accounts start from a single phishing link
• With the increase in computer games and digital solutions, cyberattacks targeting youths have significantly risen

How to protect yourself:

• Do not click on suspicious links
• Do not respond to unknown emails
• Check the email address of unknown senders before sharing any data
• Never share your passwords, including with your relatives
• In addition to a username and password, use at least one other form of identification
• Staying informed is the best protection,” he noted.
