Lukashenko Promises to Halt Meteorological Balloon Flights
The representative of the U.S. President, John Cole, announced on Saturday that Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has promised to halt the flights of meteorological balloons being sent from his country to Lithuania. This was reported by Reuters.
“Recently, he agreed to do everything necessary to stop the balloon flights,” said Cole following two days of negotiations with Lukashenko. It is noteworthy that the balloons, which are used by tobacco smugglers, have caused the closure of Vilnius Airport more than a dozen times in recent months.
