Implementation of the 'Peace Crossroads' Initiative and 'TRIP' Program Highlighted by Foreign Ministry
The Deputy Foreign Minister Robert Abisoghomonyan participated in the 11th Global Forum of the UN Alliance of Civilizations held in Riyadh, during which he addressed the high-level meeting of the Friends of the Alliance group.
In his speech, the Deputy Foreign Minister emphasized that the guarantee for preventing conflicts, restoring trust between societies, and protecting the dignity and identity of all communities lies in promoting a culture of peace and combating violence based on tolerance and understanding. In this context, he noted that Armenia actively contributes to global efforts against hate speech, racial and ethnic discrimination, and intolerance, including under the auspices of UNESCO, the Alliance of Civilizations, and the Council of Europe.
Addressing regional tensions, Deputy Foreign Minister Robert Abisoghomonyan reaffirmed Armenia's commitment to further advancing ongoing settlement processes in the region. In this context, he highlighted the importance of implementing the agreements reached on August 8 in Washington, aimed at strengthening peace established in the South Caucasus and creating a more stable and cooperative environment.
He also emphasized the implementation of the Armenian government's 'Peace Crossroads' initiative and its key component, the 'TRIP' program, aimed at promoting peace and strengthening trust in the region through communication between people.
