Excluding Any Collaboration with the Regime: Sagatelyan

In the framework of consultations with political forces, last week we held meetings with the leaders of the Republican Party of Armenia, the "Freedom" party, and the "Homeland" party, as well as representatives from civil society, human rights advocates, and lawyers. This was reported by National Assembly member Ishkhan Sagatelyan on his Facebook page.

“We discussed issues related to forming cooperation on several agenda items. Overall, there is mutual understanding on cornerstone issues. Discussions will continue soon with key political and civil actors,” he noted.

“I would like to remind you that during the parliamentary hearings held in the National Assembly, we proposed that political forces begin discussions on the following agenda items: forming a response by all legal means to oppression, political persecution, and restrictions on freedoms; protecting the Armenian Apostolic Church and national values; safeguarding the rights of political prisoners—declaring that every political prisoner is a political prisoner for all of us; ensuring the legality of the electoral process and implementing oversight; excluding counter-propaganda against each other; and excluding any collaboration with the regime (including during the post-election period).”
