EU's Use of Russian Assets Could Be Seen as Declaration of War, Orban
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has made a strong statement regarding the potential use of frozen Russian assets by the European Union. According to him, such a move could have extremely dangerous consequences in international relations.
“The seizure of hundreds of billions from a state has never gone without repercussions in history,” Orban stated, emphasizing that such decisions could be perceived as outright hostile actions.
The Hungarian Prime Minister also added that he is confident these assets will need to be returned in the future. “They will give us everything back,” he said, hinting that the situation cannot end with unilateral economic measures.
